Practice & mentorship
Atelier.
A place for making, looking closely, and developing an individual visual language.

Learning is part of the studio’s life.
David’s own practice grew through training and mentorship in Ibadan. He trained at TopFAT Arts Gallery and later worked with artist Tope Fatunmibi. Today, his practice also includes guiding emerging artists.
Artist Adewale Kolawole John has described an apprenticeship under David, where he refined his visual language and found a clearer artistic focus. In 2025, David convened One Dream at a Time, an exhibition for seven emerging artists in Ibadan.
The atelier is presented here as a space for close observation, experimentation and conversation around each artist’s work. Details of sessions and applications can be requested through the gallery contact below.
